Brown Pelicans spotted in Pahrump

In Mountain Falls, there were two Brown Pelicans that flew over our home @ 6:41a.m. this morning while I was doing Tai Chi. I drove over to the restaurant /clubhouse pond to see if they landed there. No success at finding them. I walked around two other ponds and did not find them there. Golfers this morning told me they saw two on the 14th fairway. I will go out just before sundown to where the most sightings are coming from to see if I can get a picture of them. They have also been seen by Rick Davidsaver between the 4th and 5th box up on Homestead and Gamebird near the end of Mountain Falls golf course. I saw lots of Brown Pelicans in California this summer. Their main diet in California is anchovies. Lots of fish available in the ponds in Mountain Falls. Mountain Falls is in Pahrump (Nye County) Nevada off 160. Submitted by Darlene Feener
