Pahrumps agricultural roots can be traced back to the 1890's and flourished between the 1950's and the early 1970's, an era that has been called Pahrump's "golden agricultural period."

Located 45 miles west of the city of Las Vegas, Pahrump is located in a beautiful desert valley. With its perfect setting, Pahrump is becoming Southern Nevada's leader in the " Buy Local, Go Green Movement."

Climate:

Only Zuma, Arizona has more sun days per year in the United States than Pahrump. Low humidity and gentle breezes that bounce of Mt. Charleston and the Spring Mountains to the east and the Nopah Vista Mountains to the west, keep our valley cooler than the 100 degrees we see from time to time. Gardening takes place all year round.

Water:

Our artesian wells provide us with clean, fresh water from free-flowing springs that have been flowing for 1000's of years. This water has a high mineral content and it shows in all that is grown or produced on our homestead.

Pahrump sits over the 3rd largest aquifer in the United States. There are two distinct aquifers are in the Pahrump Valley--the carbonate-rock aquifer, formed of carbonate rocks that bound and underlie the valley, and the basin-fill aquifer, which consists of unconsolidated deposits that have accumulated in the structural depression of the valley. This key element is key to our quality product.

Soil:

The soils we began with were a perfect blend of native clay and sand. Layers upon layers of organic matter have been added to our gardens and over time enriching the earth.
